What they are looking for is delayed gastric emptying or gastroparesis. This condition is often found in diabetics and is because of neuropathy, like diabetics with their feet and eyes. The stomach nerves get affected and don't work well. This makes your stomach empty slowly.

Hopefully the gastric emptying test will be ok. If you are a diabetic, the better controlled your blood sugar is the better this condition will get. Also eat 5-6 small meals instead of 3 big meals. Good luck :)

I'm not a diabetic yet....my A1c is 6% and my fasting sugars are 85n - 100. I don't have damage to my vagus nerve as far as I know....what else can I do to be "normal". I have my heart set on the sleeve.
