This is merely a "feeler" thread for numbers to know if anyone would be interested in going on December 3rd, 2007.

It is a 4 night baja cruise out of LA (good for those California LB'ers!) and the ports of call are San Diego, Catalina, Ensenada. The prices would be about $240 per person which includes the taxes and charges.

I just want to know if anyone would be interested in me doing this group. I am already going on this one, but I would be willing to put together another LBT group if there were interest. There will be children on this cruise as well as hubby's but you are more than welcome to travel solo or childless if you wish.

Please, vote honestly as it does take a lot of effort to organize one of these groups and I will be using this Poll to see if I should do this one.

Otherwise, I think I will plan one for next summer or Spring Break?

Hmmmmmmmmm, not much interest in this one? Surprising since we have so many West coast bandsters! Well, I will leave this for a few days and see if we get interest in me putting together another cruise. We just got back from one last week (do a search for cruise 2007 and look at all our pictures!)

Josette, How many people?

Jenna,

I would love to go, but I do not really have any availability until after next summer. I have a couple of weeks within the year off, however, everyone had different dates for spring break. I saw the pictures and I have never been on a cruise before. It is something that I am totally into doing too.

If I had not already booked a cruise for the same week I would say yes but I can't be in 2 places at once. Count me in for a summer late spring cruise. Can't wait, I'll keep my eyes open for a post.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
