haleyk 31 Posted July 28, 2015 Love me some Pinterest! There are so many good ideas on up-cycling/repurposing old clothing. I'm definately a beginner sewer but think I can manage to make a few throw pillows, skirts, dresses, and hand bags out of some of my clothes that no longer fit me or never wear. It would be so fun to make a dress out of an old shirt;) I have 2 large trash bags full of clothes and my surgery isn't til Aug 24. I would love to hear for anyone who's done this with old clothing and see pics too. Pinterest is also great for recipes and wl motivation as well as many other things! jess9395 5,449 Posted July 28, 2015 I am a beginning level sew-er as well but have learned to take in the seams on shirts and make tucks in dresses and such so that I can continue to wear my favorites. Hadn't thought about making things out of items. They usually go to goodwill if I can't take them in or don't like them enough to do so. Then I get "new" things from Goodwill!
