hangy 1 Posted July 28, 2015 Hello there! I have pcos and have been on metformin since 09. I'm wondering if any of you are also in the same boat as I am. I am 5 days post op and haven't taken my metformin. Are you still taking it?

DDSPICRN 11 Posted July 29, 2015 I haven't taken metformin since surgery(1/27/15). My insulin level has been >50 for about 9 yrs and metformin didn't really help. At about 4 mos post op my pcp did labs and my insulin was 5.
raec81 18 Posted August 5, 2015 My doctor kept me on it not only because of the PCOS but because he says it helps with fat loss.

Kacee78 6 Posted August 8, 2015 I asked the same question in regards to metformin and pcos and my pcp told me I would always be on it to treat the pcos.. I would for sure ask the surgeon or your pcp
