dannaf 6 Posted July 28, 2015 Hi everyone I am new to this, I am in the process of the 6 mo supervised diet my insurance requires. Can't wait until October that is when I can have my surgery. Right now I would like any information on two week clear liquid diet.
The Candidate 3,215 Posted July 28, 2015 Welcome! Good luck on your journey to surgery! My process didn't require a two week liquid diet. Only one day of Clear Liquids, Water, broth, sugar free Popsicles and the like. But I was required to lose 10% of my weight before surgery.
kathy2208 40 Posted July 28, 2015 When did you you start the process? I'm also required to do 6 months through insurance requirements. I see my surgeon for the first time next week

dannaf 6 Posted July 28, 2015 Are you having the surgery as an elective or do you have medical conditions that warrant you having the surgery
dsheive 100 Posted July 28, 2015 I had 6 months of weight and nutrition visits. So glad I did I lost 22 pounds and learned alot about food habits and nutrition. 5 day liquid diet before and 2 weeks after surgury . My sergury was the 22nd and still have not had"food". Dr Apt Aug 4th hope to go right to mushy food.. all in all it seemed like a long process with lots of hoops but glad they did it that way. Good luck to all
