_Kate_ 2,224 Posted July 28, 2015 Keep moving, waking, sipping, walking, moving, sipping, walking and eventually it will come out one way or the other. I found after sips of Water, I would either burp or pass wind but only if I was sipping in between walking without sitting down. It's a case of finding out what works for you, so try everything. I am at day 5 and at home but still bloated. In the big scheme of things it's not here for long. Hugs and Congratulations!! Kate
Daisee68 2,493 Posted July 28, 2015 Call your doctor if the nausea us really bad and get a prescription that will help. I'm almost 8 weeks out and I still have to take it occasionally.
jeanniereenie 177 Posted July 28, 2015 i remember waking up in recovery saying my back hurt and the nurse said to me, yes honey its gas...then i passed out again..lol ask your nurse or dr for nausea meds, they can give you Zofram i think its called, tastes horrible but works... i tried the gas x and my surgeon reminded me that the air was mostly in my "third space" and that although gas x would help, it wouldnt eliminate it all so walk walk walk, stretch, fart and dance..it will come out... you will feel better soon! first week is the hardest, your body is adjusting to the shock of surgery! congrats! angelarr2 0 Posted July 28, 2015 I am 12 days out and had the same problem. I kept walking and it didn't get better. One of my incisions was extremely sore and found it hard to stand up, lay down and get up. On day 6, I passed a kidney stone! I had kidney stones before but never in conjunction with surgery recovery. After passing that little sucker, it has been uphill quick! I'm feeling fabulous and am down 15 lbs! Good luck to you!
