Lately, I have been having problems with wheezing and gurgling sounds coming from my throat. I cough often. It seems food/liquid comes up. I find myself vomiting to ease this problem... Please help me.. Its been hard to sleep these pass 2 days. As soon as I fall asleep it happens... I'm very tired...

You need to see your MD and have the fill decreased. Until you get an appointment, try not eating or drinking anything for at least 3 hours before you go to bed. Make lunch the biggest meal of the day and go lighter for dinner. You can damage your esophagus if you don't get this treated.

proably too tight. Unfill at least 1 cc. R U A lap BAnd or Mid Band? Mids are better cuz they are low pressure.

Go to Clear Liquids, get checked up under fluoroscopy. Matt

Great advice. I took Pepcid AC last night with no problems. I also refrain from eating foods 3 hours before bedtime, which is hard to do. I like have a small bowl of fruit or a healthy snack before bedtime. 2-3 hours of not eating anyting before bedtime is tough. I will call my doctor today re. other remedies, but the Pepcid AC worked great. For now I'm on target of losing a pound a week. I was banded in Aug of 2005, I have 25 pounds to loose to get to my target wt of 230. My problem now is that I find myself at times vomiting after a big meal. My eyes are bigger than my appetite. The good thing about the band is that it reminds you when you are not ahering to the rules of proper eating. You will pay for it later. Thanks for all the advice. Shame on me for not keeping up with this forum. I joined in 2005 but did not stay with. I need to know all the ins and outs about the band and learn from others.

I would call your surgeon and have him prescribe you something for the reflux. It sounds like you might be a little too tight. If the prescription doesn't work then you may need a slight unfill.

Since my 2nd fill, I don't find that food is coming up; but I totally relate to the gurgling that is coming from my throat. Only when I'm eating, or shortly thereafter. I thought this was normal; is it not? I don't feel reflux or nausea; I just get the alien sounds.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
