kyeamen 10 Posted July 24, 2015 How many grams of Protein a day before surgery do you need with the pre-op diet
ShrinkingPeach 1,291 Posted July 24, 2015 Depends on your plan. Have you been given your pre-op diet yet?
Nylaj 45 Posted July 24, 2015 I didn't get a pre-op diet. I guess every Doctor is different. But you should get more Protein than carbs/sugars a day. Just make sure you pay attention to that more than anything. I'd say pre-op wise, you should have 50g Protein & 25g sugar/carbs.
Dawn306 50 Posted July 25, 2015 Hi, I wondered the same thing. I have a pre-op diet that is first two days liquids, then next day add a salad, then next day add cooked veg, then next two days add rice and chicken, then repeat. But only liquids for last three days before surgery (tea, Jello, vegetable broth, fruit juices). But, there is no mention of Protein powder. Maybe we only need the Protein Powder after the surgery? Can any of you who have already been sleeved tell us what to expect in terms of diet? One of my biggest questions is: what do I take with me when I go to Mexico for my surgery? Do I have to bring Protein Powder? Juices? Anybody know?
