Kelsey Marie 49 Posted July 23, 2015 So next week I have my final appointment with the dietitian, and I'm excited about it. But I'm also worried that once it's all done and everything is submitted to insurance, they won't approve me. I've gained a pound or two since all of this started, and luckily I've finally lost a pound, and I'm hoping I can keep it off by the appointment next week. But is it true that Aetna doesn't accept someone because of weight gain during this time? I'm freaking out.
The Candidate 3,215 Posted July 23, 2015 I don't have Aetna but just wanted to say that those kind of fears are normal. Hope you get the approval you're hoping for. Good luck! ????
Crosby 303 Posted July 23, 2015 I had Aetna and gained during the six months but ultimately lost 12 pounds. I was approved without issue.

Crosby 303 Posted July 23, 2015 I lost 20something the first five months and gained the last two appts that counted.
Kelsey Marie 49 Posted July 23, 2015 I'm thinking about doing a liquid diet these next few days up until the appointment, just to get off any Water weight and hope that helps with the final weigh in. I spoke with the insurance coordinator at the practice I'm using and he is concerned that the weight would cause them to not accept me, so I need to shape up. muzical1 85 Posted July 23, 2015 (edited) I had the worst time losing weight during my 3 month weight management program which was at the same time as my final grad school semester. I gained 4lbs the second month and ended with a net loss of only 1lb by end of the program. Aetna approved me as my doctor said a loss is a loss.
