Of course you can just like you can eat too much on nthe solid food phase as well.

Come on think about it. Your new tummy is smallr but you can stretch it out if you continue to over consume. Go slowly. stop after ten minutes. Keep track of the food and drink. Don't over do it!!

My Dr.s at Getbandednow.com made it very clear to me how to eat and drink. What and when as well as how much and how fast.

I asked the dietician that question about drinking already mixed slimfast. The can is 11oz and your only suppose to have up to 1 cup or 8oz at a time. She said that liquid was ok as long as you take your time to give some of it time to go thru the band.

Thats the joy of being banded! It takes a long time even for liquids to pass the restricted area. Becarefull. Start in the am and get your protien in first! Watch your quantities and go slow.k?

Go slow most Dr.s and "dieticians are not thinking about the fact your new tummy is at most only 8 oz. At most!!! Please start your day with getting in your protien albiet liquid then drink your clear Water. GO SLOW!!! Work your band.!!! If you don't understand what I mean then we need to talk. Let me know and I will get you my number. Too many folks get of track in the early stages and never work their bands correctly. Frankly the general surgeons are into the surgery part of this journey not the long run. Not the day to day hour by hour part. I would be honored to assist in any way I can. My dr.s taught me and are still teaching me and I would glady pass on what I know and have learned from them...

Matt, I was banded on June 20th. What do you exactly mean by "work the band"? I don't want to be one of the "ones that get off track early"! Are you basically just saying eat really slow or are you talking about cheating the band? I know, that probably sounds like a stupid question, but I'm just a little confused and don't want to blow it. :help:

Working the band means using it the way it was designed to be used.

Most surgeons these days don't have a clue or should I say they don't spend the time with patients to teach them about band physics.

The secret is this thing called "a stretch"!

Matt, I couldn't agree with you more, about the surgeons not spending enough time to teach us about the band physics.

So now the next question is...What is the secret thing called "a stretch"? Curious minds want to know.
