Twirpo75 50 Posted July 22, 2015 I'm about 9 months out from surgery and CANNOT hit the 100lbs lost mark. I've stalled at 95 lbs for about 3 months now. And because I am an emotional eater, every time I weigh myself and I'm still at the same place, I grab a bag is pico de gallo chips. It's a vicious cycle that I can't stop. I thought by now I would be at goal but I still have 58 lbs until then. OMG. I'm so frustrated with myself. So disappointed. I see shows with people who have eating disorders and I really feel like I do too, just the opposite end of the spectrum. Please tell me I am not alone in this daily struggle. Please tell me other people have had this happen. And please tell me how to make it stop. Other than not eating the chips. I brought peaches to work today instead of chips. MrsSugarbabe 727 Posted July 22, 2015 You definitely are not alone. And, YES, it is extremely frustrating! For weeks now I have been hovering within about 3 lbs. of moving into Onederland, no matter what I do. However, I do keep following my plan and celebrating the non-surgical victories along the way. Even though the scale is creeping, creeping, creeping, there are still victories to be celebrated. Just keep keeping on.....we will get there!!! This journey is for a lifetime so there is plenty of time to make our goal weights.
snowkitten 371 Posted July 22, 2015 Well, you've identified your trigger... The scale. Try putting it away for a few weeks. And your very much not alone, I thought I'd be at goal by now too. Losing has been hard and I keep falling off the wagon too. Stress and pmsing r my triggers.
tomi71 581 Posted July 22, 2015 Stay away from the scale for a while. I just divorced mine. It's such a toxic relationship. I have hovered between 191 and 200 for the past 5 months. I've do a grand total of 75lbs and have about 45-50 more to go. It's disheartening when your body won't cooperate but I am learning that the body scale is not always the best gauge of success. That said, I've reset my goals. I'd like to get down to a size 7-8 pants and keep my blood pressure good. So if that means I lose another 50 than so be it. I won't know until I get to my goal size. Right now it's too much of a trigger for you. Focus on eating well, getting in your fluids and exercising. Try to not weigh yourself for a month. If that's too long, then try for 2 weeks. Look for NSV and focus on living a healthier lifestyle. You can do this!
OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted July 22, 2015 I agree with who said stop weighing yourself. If you are going to have chips in the house at least get the Quest Protein chips so you don't sabotage yourself
