anything that is of basic no nutritional value and does not fill you up. popcorn, corn puffs, cheetos, anything really moist. That's why it is important to do Protein first above everything. You are suppose to feel that constriction in your stomach

So, I am one of those rare people for whom sliders do not exist. I am super lucky, but I've not yet found a food that i can eat more than a cup of at any given time and that's pushing it.

THANK GOODNESS!!!

My slider foods are crackers, Smart Puffs, and chex mix. These are pretty much the only things that I can sit and munch on and eat more calories than I should without getting sick. I still eat them occassionally- I just limit how frequently they are in the house. If I don't buy them, I can't eat them!

pretzels. Those darn pretzels. Oh and sugar-free Jell-O if I don't count it as straight hydration.

Are poached eggs sliders? I was able to eat 2 today without yoke since it slid out and I'm 3 weeks out.

By slider do you all mean that they slide down the sleeve easily or slide out of your bowel??? I've never heard of this.

High calorie foods that take up little space. You can eat and eat and eat and it won't fill ya up. Things like chips, candy, crackers, etc..

So for me I guess it would be chips. They go down easy and I can eat quite a bit. I'll stay away from them

If you like chips, try Quest Protein chips! Great flavor, especially the Cheddar and Sour Cream, and they have 21g protein for 5g net carbs!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
