Out 5 weeks-down 50 Lbs. Started really exercising. (At least for me) walking in the morning and Zumba at night. Waking up to snap, crackle and pop. My joints are so loud. I continue to crack and pop all day and usually get the cracking worked out by the night time Zumba class. I'm taking all of my Vitamins including some extra Biotin at 5000mc. Any other thoughts that I can add to my diet or do, the cracking is almost painful but can be heard by a all.

Yesterday after being in the gym for a month and a half and increasing my weights rapidly and strengthening, I thought it was time to hit the leg day, I noticed and remembered quickly part of the reason for my gastric, as I was doing squat machine my left knee be an to "crackle and pop" it was my arthritis, scarring, and permanently torn ACL telling me to chill out, I know I need that surgery next but the knees thingy scares me to death, lots of pain and rehab, and always a chance it could continue to hurt, I would suggest investing in knee braces, good ones

Have you tried taking Osteo Bi-Flex? My knees and hips like to pop and when I regularly take Osteo I notice that my joints do sincerely feel a lot better.

I have taken Celebrex, but my knee doctor said it best "you impaled your left knee with a branch wen you were young, and almost ripped out your right knee with glass, and you shot your ACL twice, you have massive bone fragments and scarring, you sir need new knees" so I got that going for me, in the words of Bill Murray lol

My knees crackle and pop a lot especially after exercising when I run. I am given Calcium tablets for my bones by my doctor. Maybe you might need a bone supplement.

Good luck.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
