I am having severe pain in the middle of my chest, help!

I am not banded yet but I can tell you that severe pain in the middle of the chest can be caused by the heart. So if it's pretty severe, call your surgeon or get yourself to the emergency room. Better to be safe than sorry!! Hope all turns out well for you.
