Boo_Nikole 12 Posted July 21, 2015 3 weeks out and my biggest obstacle is realizing my food isn't going to run away from me when I'm eating. It's not going anywhere and I can take my time. I also need to learn that I'm unable to eat near the amount I used to before. These changes are scary but so helpful. Who is with me?!
JulieG'sYSGjourney 3 Posted July 21, 2015 I am three weeks out as well! I have lost 26lbs including the one week pre-op I did... Still having issues drinking all my liquids and frankly-- hard to eat more than a couple bites of anything! I have acid reflux that I never had before.... But am so happy I got my sleeve! dcannan 9 Posted July 22, 2015 @ Julieg's are you taking a nexium or Prilosec every day for the acid? You should be.
naturegirl 320 Posted July 22, 2015 I think that part of the learning curve. DH is experiencing the same thing and he'll be 4 weeks post op Thursday.he is finding that by remaking/repackaging his food into tiny storage containers is helping with Portion Control. But the challenge to not over eat what's in the container is still an issue.
Boo_Nikole 12 Posted July 22, 2015 I try to get small portions before sitting down to make it a little easier
