JustWatchMe 7,117 Posted July 21, 2015 I got measured yesterday at my final session with my personal trainer. I didn't expect any changes because I had only relied on the scale, and my weight actually went up one pound. However, this made me realize that the work I've been doing really is having an effect on my body. I'm disappointed in the waist measurement. I always have trouble losing the belly. But he used a machine that measures body fat and mine went down one percent. My waist and chest did not go down, but my arms and hips and thighs and calves did. I worked out more in the beginning, and have slacked off recently with excuses about not having time with my new work schedule and my daughters borrowing my car in the evening. But these measurements made me see it's worth it to make the effort. Exercise needs to be a priority. Take a look at these stats. This is two months of working out between 1-3 times a week. I never ever measured myself before. I'm so glad I did.

lisacaron 5,075 Posted July 21, 2015 Great work my friend!!! I have to say that I haven't seen much movement on my scale at all...but I can see the difference in my body from working out. I am much stronger, and leaner. I really need to get back into the routine, but this last week I have been having some terrible time breathing with the humidity...it's just miserable. 2 steps out the door and I'm panting like a dog. COPD really stinks!!!
JustWatchMe 7,117 Posted July 21, 2015 I was expecting literally zero change. This was encouraging to me. Now I want to get back in there and step it up!
Healthy_life2 8,327 Posted July 21, 2015 @@JustWatchMe Thanks for the tip. I wish I would have tracked my measurements. I'm going to start doing it now for the motivation. I seem to always rely on the scale.
