Kindle 8,667 Posted January 1, 2016 Nope, never lost a single strand. Also never took Biotin or used and special hair products. If it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen. Nothing you can do about it. Just your body's reaction to the stress of surgery and fast weight loss. The only things I did do was always exceed Protein goals, always take my Vitamins, ate food from all four food groups, and I never mentally stressed over surgery or stalls or anything else along the way. Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted January 1, 2016 I didn't notice any. I did cut my hair short soon after surgery after wearing it really long for decades so maybe I just didn't notice.
b17083 14 Posted January 3, 2016 I was told to expect it but that eating more Protein is the key
TnT123 3 Posted January 6, 2016 Take 10,000 mg Biotin every day. It will help a lot.
Amyz_G 1 Posted January 7, 2016 Sounds like you are not getting enough Protein intake. Add more protein/protein shakes into your diet
aprildewitt86 16 Posted January 10, 2016 Mine started at the end of month 1. I've been taking Biotin to help. It isn't noticable to anyone else. Just noticable to me.
bellabloom 2,467 Posted February 1, 2016 No, not everyone. But most. It started for me around 6 months and lasted about 4 months.

muzical1 85 Posted March 29, 2016 No. My doctor suggested I start Biotin during my 6 month pre-surgery period. I've continued to take it and after 9 mos have no loss. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
