OKCPirate 5,323 Posted July 19, 2015 (edited) A few years ago before my surgery I noticed less leg hair around my ankles. It looked like it was happening where my socks were, so I didn't think much about it. Shortly before I had surgery someone pointed out that my feet were changing colors when I was standing outside barefoot. I looked it up, looked like poor blood circulation. After the weight-loss and working out, the foot discoloration stopped. But this week I noticed I'm getting my leg hairs are back. I think that is a good thing, but has anyone else experienced this? James Marusek 5,244 Posted July 19, 2015 No, but I agree with you that it sounds like a good thing.
DavidK 19 Posted July 20, 2015 Sounds like your circulation is improving. Also loosing fat and exercising more tend to increase testosterone levels (in men at least), which usually leads to more body hair.
OKCPirate 5,323 Posted July 20, 2015 Thanks DavidK - probably why I am getting my back waxed. Kidding - I'm waxing so I don't gross out women.
Stevehud 1,790 Posted July 20, 2015 Yes sir. most assuredly I have. My lower legs ( shins) were discolored and my legs were hairless from the knee down due to poor blood flow ( venous stasis) my feet and lower legs would swell up badly in the daytime and i had to wear extremely loose, diabetic socks. But since i have lost as much as i have one day my wife said to me, hey your legs are all hairy again! Yes the discoloration will never go away completely, but man having legs that look like mine should, is another little side effect plus, that shows that this is all worthwhile.
