mo12 0 Posted July 19, 2015 Hi, I had my sleeve done Jan 30, 2014 and now I am pregnant. I was 20 pounds away from my goal weight before I found out I was pregnant . I was gaining weight at first but now I have been losing weight. It wasn't planned but I am very excited. I wish I could say everything is going ok but I can't. I am 3 months pregnant. At the very beginning I had severe nausea and when I eat I just feel disgusted. I have been very bloated with no energy at all. Now the nausea did eventually went to regular nausea but I still have the feeling bad when I eat and bloating. I now have a new symptom of short of breathe but it has been getting worse. I just hope all symptoms go away after this first trimester. Has anyone else pregnant and have issues?
AngelEyesInNJ 187 Posted July 19, 2015 Congratulations to you!! The only issue I had during pregnancy was non-sleeve related and that was high blood pressure. I hope your pregnancy goes well as well as your delivery
hopeliveshere 294 Posted July 30, 2015 Congrats on your pregnancy. I am nearly 31 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child (found out at 14months post op). This is my first POST OP pregnancy, and I have to say its been very different. In the first trimester I had the same symptoms that you have, I only put on 4 lbs in the first 3 months. I was basically either nauseated or hungry at any given time and when I would eat, I was so disgustingly bloated and had the same shortness of breath. I was literally starving every 2 hrs from the second half of my first trimester all the way through middle of trimester 2 Its a completely normal symptom of early pregnancy. The nausea and bloating should subside within a few weeks or so, Now that I am nearly due, Some of those early symptoms are returning, I am not nauseated, but I am feeling horribly bloated, and have shortness of breath You can try some gas ex and see if that helps? Ive put on 30 lbs so far and am feeling beyond done at this point. Just try to hang in there as best you can and good luck to you.
