@, wow! You were so fortunate they found those clots. Guess I shouldn't whine too much about a month's delay, especially since I'm super excited for your upcoming VSG (everyone's really).

@@LovelyBrown, the psychologist on my psych exam approved me but suggested I seek additional counseling to get the issues I have with food sorted out to maximize my success. That was a good call on his part. The toughest thing about his exam was the zillion page questionnaire I had to fill out! I'm completing six months supervised diet before I can even schedule, so I'm envious.

I went to see the cardiologist for a cardiac eval and walked out with out one. The Dr saw something and wants a 2 day stress test. Nov 23rd is my last appt with the surgeon for my 6 month supervised diet. He wanted all the evaluations into him on that date. Well it isn't going to happen as I have the Breathing test on the 25th. Now the 2 day stress test can't be done until Dec 2 and 3rd. The results will be told to me on Dec 7th. So I don't know now if I will be having my sleeve and gallbladder surgery in Jan or not. I am having no problems and thought this would be a very easy and quick evaluation. Sure hope whatever the Dr found is nothing. However if it is, it was good that it was discovered before I was on the table.

I'm 21st December 5weeks away!! Can't wait!!

Lol wow, that is close when you say it like that! I'm scheduled for 12/16/15, which is the soonest they could get me in. Work picks up big time at the first of the year. It's a desk job, so I should be ready to jump in again before the crazy work gets out of control.

I'm not looking forward to the pre-op diet, but then again I sort of am.... Let's get this going!

When do you start your pre op diet? I start on the 14th December.

@@songsmith thanks :) I have my pre-op visits early next week, then it will be the week of Thanksgiving, and the week after that is sleeve time! It's going to fly by and be here before I know it, and I'm sure yours will, too.

Time seems to be going by fast....big day is scheduled for December 8th. I guess I'd better get to the grocery store. Thankfully I only have to do a week of pre-op diet but I'm stoked!!!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
