December 2015 or January 2016 sleevers ?

Recommended Posts

That's awesome... The last week has been slow for me. I'm a dec 2nd sleeve. Trying to follow a diet with a few as possible food funerals. I am ready and wish these 7 weeks 5 days would hurry up!

It's looking like late December or early January for me. More likely it will be early January given my work schedule. I've only got two more weigh ins left with my PCP. I've already met with my doctor's NUT and "passed" the psych evaluation. My doctor doesn't even require a pre-op diet liquid diet. Here's hoping the time flies quickly because I'm so ready!

Good luck with time flying... I have my pre op class on Nov13 at that point I will have completed everything and that's all o have left to do other than the pre op for surgery with the surgeon. I'm so ready and time is just dragging by. ????

I'm penciled in for surgery dec 18! I've already started my preop diet! In a competition with myself to see how much I can lose on my own. Was 291 @ 1st nutrition visit. Next one is November 13, I hope to be 280 then. I went from 3,000 + calories a day to 1600. I will then start 1200 for 2 weeks, then 1,000 for one week & then 800 before 3day liquid diet prior! I'm so freakin excited????????????

That is great, I'm hoping for Dec 2nd surgery in just waiting... Waiting is so hard. I go thru days I'm completely on track and then I eat like I'm never going to again. It's hard I know that I need to change my habits and that is the hardest part ever... You sound like your doing amazing. My first weigh it was 240 in August and I'm now 237.. Woo hoo :( this weekend we shopped to eat healthy all week and made a meal plan for the whole week. Fingers are crossed for a completely positive week.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
