I am three weeks out and I have heard that some people have a stall during this time. I am experiencing this now. How long does it last? And is there anything I can do to jump start the process? I am only taking in about 400-500 calories a day. I can't do much exercise because I ripped a stitch a few days ago on my left side which is very painful and doc says I need to take it easy for the next couple weeks and heal. Any information is helpful. Thanks!

I feel you! Same thing happened to me at this stage! Slow and steady wins the race! It will come off and the scale will move. Keep on track and it will move again soon!

Stay off the scale! I didn't have a three weeks stall because I hardly ever stepped on the scale. I guarantee my weight loss journey was a hell of a lot more fun because of it!

Eat Protein, drink Water, take Vitamins. That all you need to do right now.

I agree with @@Kindle - stay off the scale! It's 3 weeks in. Relax a bit. I didn't notice a 3 week stall either. In the beginning I only weighed myself when I went to the doctor's. I had a 2 week f/u and didn't seeing him again until my 6 week f/u. I showed a loss both times. Instead I focused on eating/drinking enough Protein, getting in enough Water and walking/exercise. If you follow the program, the loss will happen. Just make sure to hit those protein and Fluid levels.

DH experienced this and I told him to stop weighing himself daily because he was becoming frustrated. Instead he altered what he ate and things picked up again. Plus if you are doing measurements, you may still see a decrease there even if the scale doesn't reflect one.

I agree with all the above especially the Vitamins. If you don't have enough vitamins in you your body will stall also weighing once a week will lift your mood. Don't judge your body by a scale but by your clothes loosing up and your energy increasing. I hope you did this to be a healthy version of you so rejoice in all the little changes.

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
