My anniversary was was July 10th @ more than o month I'm already seeing major changes from my time at the gym, I'm definitely seeing my muscle increase and some definition, my sure on put me through a grilling initially when I said I wanted to go back ASAP the while I was still in the hospital, so the very next Monday I went back, only treadmill and light circuit at first, but after my follow up he said he was sure I knew what I was doing so I got the green light to go all out, now I can break down my days again into specific muscles, it's the only thing I do well at and I excel at it, I was curling 20lbs at the beginning and am up to 50lbs now, etc...... So I wanna keep going, because I was trained by my friends who are hardcore bodybuilder scans Crossfit experts I only train 3 days a week and rest on the weekends, it's the muscle healing philosophy that works well for me, I only wishing my knees were good because I would love to do a 5k run or even walk, but I'm happy and look forward to when I can finally get my Kayak and do some fishing, I'm also really looking forward to doing some camping again, I just want people to know that I never doubted the surgery for one minute or questioned it, and it's true that I've gotten a second chance at life, I'm mostly grateful that I have such a supportive family and that my friends are just as involved, when I say I wanna see how far I go with all this they say go for it, and love it when I post results, but even with all this I now feeling the need to give back and help others, so I'm gonna work on that also, it's not perfect all the time but it's 1000 times better than it was !!!!!!

I'm not where you are, but three weeks out and I can walk longer distances, don't have to run to the bathroom every half and hour, and my clothes aren't bunching up around my stomach.

Those are milestones, I use those instead of the scale to dictate my progress. I only wish I could walk long distances, so you have strengths I do not, I also urinate regularly now and it helps me sleep better, I was on the verge of needing a C-PAP and now I don't, measure your progress by health, I know peeps on here that can now run 5,10 15 miles a day, I envy that, my strength is in the gym, find what you excel at and you will be happier, I know it's a long road but we didn't exactly get here overnight anyway, the biggest boost I have gotten so far was getting into a pair of shorts I hadn't been able to wear in 7 yrs, and I even managed to get into 1 size smaller than that last week, although it was a tight fit my goal is to wear them comfortably in two more weeks, that would bring me down from a size 60w to 52w, 8 waist sizes lost and going, inspiration keeps me going .........

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
