I went to the gym three times, so far. The first time I went one mile in an hour, second time 2.5 miles in about an hour and ten minutes, third time 2.5 miles in 46 mins. Love going to the gym hoping to get released to do more soon. I am 4 weeks out and am down 40 lbs. Hoping to get under 200 by next month, which is 20 lbs away!!! I can't wait to show myself to extended family at the end of July. They have not seen me since August of last year.

You have motivated me! I drove by a gym today and nearly stopped. Tomorrow I will go. It will be quite a while until I catch up with you. But I am going to start! Thanks!

No 30 lbs since my surgery, and today I weighted in at 219.8. I pasted my last goal today!!! Now it is time to move to the next goal which is 200 lbs. when I hit 199.9, I am treating myself to an hour massage for losing 60 lbs!!! I love my sleeve and love, love, love the results!!! I had to go through my jeans and get rid of almost all my jeans!! I have 3 pairs of capris and they are all elastic waist because I am to cheap to buy regular clothes right now and I know I am going to spend a ton of money when I finally hit my final goal of 150. I know I have hit goals before my surgery and than slowly a lb or two would come back on, I am just glad to be rid of all the extra weight for good!!!! I can now keep up with my one year old grandson and hopefully I can continue to keep up with him as he grows! He was the main reasons I wanted to rid myself of the extra weight. I had no medical problems, my BP was below normal, and everything else checked out fine to. I love being with him and want to see him grow up and be around for the next grandchild. With my weight of 257-265 I knew that it was not going to be long before medical problems started. But I could not be happier with the results! Last night I went 2.7 miles on treadmill in 47 mins. I can not wait until I can run on treadmill and do some strengthening of my arms and legs!!! I have not been this weight since I graduated high school!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
