I had my first post op appt today. Staples removed and down 8lbs. My SW: 267, pre surgery weight: 244, CW: 236. I'm 5'5". I was really down about not having a double digit loss. Am I expecting too much?

Yes you are silly! It's not magic. Do not worry, it will come. I was weighing myself every day then finally stopped because I would get disappointed. I'm 16 days post op.

The scale can become soooooo addictive! Don't forget about inches, especially when you hit plateaus
