slsgeek 10 Posted July 15, 2015 How is your energy level? I have to be back on the road with my job two weeks after surgery and I am wondering what my energy level will be like.
onestaratatime 7 Posted July 15, 2015 Energy level is better than before the surgery for me. I've been blessed with an amazingly good recovery..
onestaratatime 7 Posted July 15, 2015 Wow, I just calculated my BMI and it dropped from 45.2 to 40.7 already.. That's just crazy..
tjstark 74 Posted July 15, 2015 This is wonderful progress in three weeks! The Protein intake sounds great -- are you drinking shakes?
slsgeek 10 Posted July 15, 2015 That's great to hear. Thanks for the response and good luck with the rest of your journey!
onestaratatime 7 Posted July 15, 2015 Yes, Premier Protein (30g protein/low fat) each.. And Atkins (15g protein/more fat).. I'm very lucky, I haven't had any issues getting/keeping liquids down..
onestaratatime 7 Posted July 15, 2015 My best advice for recovery is get out of bed and walk, walk, walk.. Thats the only part I forced myself to do, starting day of surgery.. They said once every 4 hours, I walked every 2 hours.. When j got home I forced myself to walk.. Walk and walk more...
slsgeek 10 Posted July 15, 2015 I will take that advice. A lot of posters have stated that helped them, and since I will need to be walking through airports, I might as well get ready for it

dcannan 9 Posted July 18, 2015 I've used Unjury Protein and love it. I get 20 gr with each shake and carbs needed from the milk for energy. 10 days out and I feel great.
