I was uncomfortable the day of and on the following day - by the 3rd day the only issue really was waiting for the green light for pureed food. Stomach muscles were tight when I tried to lie back onto the bed. getting up wasn't as bad it was the s-l-o-w lying back that hurt the most. I actually moved to sitting on the side of the bed and laying down on my side, then rolling to my back, much easier!

By day 3 I was off pain meds and on day 5 I was driving. Incisions were tender but manageable. The recovery as far as pain was surprisingly easy. The tiredness took a few weeks to get over.

I was in the hospital for two nights.....went home on the 2nd day after surgery. I only took one dose of pain meds after coming home (that first night). I was a bit sore during the day, but not in terrible pain. It was mostly painful when in the process of getting up or moving to lie down.

But keep in mind that everyone's pain tolerance is different and everyone has a different experience.

I'm a week and a day out and I take pain meds in the morning and before bed. The soreness is better but can still become too uncomfortable at points during the day so I have to sit and take it easy. I have very little energy and my muscles feel weak.

Its not bad. I was sleeved on Tuesday and went to work on Friday. Physically, I'd say 2-3 weeks before you can lift weights, but there was nothing debilitating about the process after the first couple of days.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
