LAG4ahealthierme 76 Posted July 23, 2015 @@Running2theSleeve, @amylovesparis and anyone else, I would be happy to be a buddy. Though I have a supportive family, I am the only family member who has struggled with obesity. Yes they are supportive, but do not understand. Hang in there. perfectlyimperfect44 46 Posted July 24, 2015 I would love to have some buddies! I even posted how I have little support! My mom nor sisters understand (they have never weighed over 150) I just really got my 3 babies and 3 more iffy' s now. But imma do this! It helps having this forum! My mind is so consumed with getting this surgery now and it's sad when you have no one to really talk to. I'm at the end stages of my pre op testing and looking forward to a Sept/Oct date. Good for you!! I am in the same boat:)I have found that there is plenty of support here..good luck to you

back2me1987 17 Posted July 25, 2015 Tina I can totally relate. My mom becomes instantly INFURIATED if the topic of surgery is brought up. I decided to bring a friend/therapist with me because I knew she could provide the positivity I need during the pre and post op. Cheers to new friendships! atontor 1,068 Posted July 26, 2015 Why Everybody else diet starts 1- 2 weeks before surgery. The hospital I'm going to ask to go on liquid diet 2 days before surgery Every hospital has different guideline. I was sleeve at NYP on 5/29/15 and did a 2 week diet prior to surgery Hi all, upper Manhattan here. 7 weeks post op. I was sleeved 5/29/15 at NY Presbyterian. Chris-NYC 27 Posted July 26, 2015 (edited) Definitely agree yes every hospital and every doctor is different. For example my pre-opt liquid diet was only 24 hours before surgery. Edited July 26, 2015 by Chris-NYC
