Addawn 81 Posted July 13, 2015 hello fellow sleevers! I am 6 months out and I am down 70lbs...is that pretty much on track? I am 5'6" and started at 320. I just want to know if that is pretty much the norm or if I should be further down.

p1Sz 52 Posted July 15, 2015 Agree that everyone is different. Comparing can be negative, but sometimes you just really want to know if your experience is typical or not. I think the best place to get objective comparison is from your surgeon's office. They should be able to tell you how your loss tracks with the typical results they see based on your starting weight, age, gender, type of operation, etc. I can tell you that my surgeon would be happy with your loss. My surgeon usually likes to see 70% excess weight loss after 12 months. By that standard, you're more than on track. BUT AGAIN, most important thing is how you're feeling in terms of your health and changing lifestyle.
Addawn 81 Posted July 16, 2015 Thank you! I am actually leaving to see my doctor in a few minutes. I don't know why I have this feeling that I am failing. Last week I carried 70 lbs around the gym for a few minutes just to see what I have done. If felt REALLY heavy, and I can't imagine that I carried that much all the time...but it didn't help me get over this negative feeling that I should be further along. Hopfully this visit will the Doc will help me one way or the other.
leader73 2 Posted July 16, 2015 I think it stems from our past "failures" that we carry in our head. I go through it was well, this feeling that I'm waiting for the shoe to drop......like I won't succeed. I just keep reminding myself that I'm doing the right things, following the program and I feel better. Feeling good is my motivation.
