I'm SUPER boring. Protien shake (yes, I still do a protien shake for breakfast at 11 months out) and a cup of coffee. Some Sunday's I'll deviate and actually have an omlette or something ;)

I love, love, love, the synthrax fuzzy navel and caribbean cooler. With unsweetened vanilla almond milk OR this new milk- fairlife skim it has 13g Protein, 6 carbs, and 80 calories. These powders have NO powder scent or flavor. And I gag when I smell the regular ones !!! So good. Get some samples - bariatric pantry dot com. They have lemonade and ice tea ones for Clear Liquids too!!

My Breakfast for the past week has been a Protein drink that I don't care for one bit. I'm trying to not spend so much on Protein powders, but the trade off is tolerating less than average tasting Protein powder.

I have not tried Syntrax yet and have been shopping around online for a good price. Those that use Syntrax often, I have a few questions if you don't mind:

1. What is the difference between Syntrax nectar and Syntrax Matrix? I'm assuming its the type of protein. I really want to try the Peanut Butter cookie flavor, but it is only available as a Matrix version.

2. Where do you purchase your Syntrax Protein Powder? I usually purchase protein powder at www.puritan.com, but they don't carry Syntrax. Supplement Warehouse has the 2 pound jug of Syntrax Nectar for $31.66 and the 2 pound jug of Matrix for $24.89. Of course those prices don't include shipping.

Thanks!

nectar is whey isolate. matrix is a whey and Caesin blend. The whey isolate is more bio available the Caesin is longer lasting and keeps you full longer.

I get mine on Amazon or at Vitamin shoppe.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
