Completely normal! You just need to make sure you are getting fluids in at this point or you will end up back in the hospital if you are not still there.

I hope you feel better soon. Make sure you ask for nausea medication, it should help.

It was a long time before I even felt hungry. I had to actually set an alarm to make sure I ate. I noticed that it would be 3pm and I will have forgotten to eat.

I didn't feel like eating for a few days. But that feeling will dissipate eventually. It's rare I get "hungry" now 2+ months post-op.

I also set reminders on my mobile phone to remind me when to get my Protein shakes, Vitamins, and meals in. Otherwise I could go half the day before I even realized I haven't eaten.

I'm a little over 2 months out and I still don't want food. I know I'm supposed to eat 4 times a day but I'm lucky to eat once because I just DON'T WANT FOOD . I don't think I have experienced a hunger feeling since before surg

Feel the same way. I'm on week 6, and never want to eat. Even since I can eat soft foods, nothing is appetizing. I know some of that is probably me having a bad attitude, but I just have no desire. I always have my 2 shakes, yogurt, lunch and dinner every day, but it can really feel like a chore at times

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
