I was able to drink a cup 2 days in a row and it was fine and then I had one the third day and it was not fine. I'll wait a couple of weeks and try again.

I have a cup of regular coffee a day. And also drink Decaf. In fact my nutritionist suggested decaf to help me get my proper amount of liquids.< /p>

First thing in the morning I have coffee. I started back on it around week 3. About 4 oz. now I'm back up to 1 cup a day. I am a lover of coffee.

But I also get in my Water through the day.

I don't restrict myself from much. I just plan for healthy foods and a daily treat. Those treats would be my coffee and a low sugar dessert like Dannon sugar free yogurt or sugar free Jello, Popsicles, or even berries with some Splenda on them. Yum!

I couldn't imagine life w/o a cup of coffee first thing.

My doctor doesn't want me drinking regular coffee because I suffer from heartburn since having surgery. I do drink a cup of Decaf every morning after taking Prilosec though. I'm hoping that the heartburn will get better and I can go back to my regular coffee, I miss it!

Walmart and other stores I'm sure carry brands of dry Creamer that are carb friendly just read the bottle, I do not so caffeine anymore since my favorite way to have coffee was with half & half, and sugar on the first cup, and on the weekends I used to do 7- 10 cups per day, but I'm glad that now I do 1 cup Decaf, w/ equate, and dry creamer, still fighting the urge to go to a convenience store and grab a "Monster" just gotta keep saying no

I'm a sugar free redbull fan so I get the Monster urge! It's tough!! Actually in my diet phases I will be allowed carbonation eventually but since I'm already used to not having it I'm going to continue saying "no"

I had a nasty sugar free Monster in the purple large can I got to 2 per day sometimes, or 3 of the smaller cans, and I twice drank a 12 pack of the Red Bull while on spring break, so yeah definite NO!!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
