I have been fat all my life. Never have been able to cross my legs like a lady. I can and always have been able to sit crossed leg though. I am hoping in the future I can just sit like a lady, instead of just at the ankles ! LOL

As soon as I realized I could do it again, my legs have been crossed 90% of the time I'm sitting. I love it!

Yup. And as an added bonus, it slides you over to one buttcheek where you get a little better padding than you would on your ever bonier sit bones!

That's one of the things I'm looking forward to myself.

I hate the fact that I can't even close my legs. Its like gravity keeps pulling them apart.

I can't wait to cross my legs! A friend of mine who had bypass said that she likes crossing her legs because her excess skin slides down and all she sees is perfect thighs!

I can assure you it feels wonderful to sit and be able to cross your legs I just noticed it yesterday when I went to sit down in the couch and I crossed my legs with no problem. :-)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
