PhatPhoenixVSG 14 Posted July 12, 2015 So the doctor is basically charging your insurance company $15k to repair your hernia and then, while he's in there perform the VSG??

BobrobynR 17 Posted July 13, 2015 I found out I had a HH pre op as well. Dr Holden at KBI did my EGD test to see if I had one to qualify for MBA program where it would cost me less since I was a cash patient. So happy to have that option. My sleeve surgery was 10/27/14 with Dr Kim and I'm over joyed at my success. I've lost 117 lbs.
viv57 6 Posted July 14, 2015 I'm kaiser, I do have a hernia, I've had an EDG just because I need one about 6 months ago. I'm 326 pounds, I'm scared as hell about this. My pulmonologist is the one referring me. She sent me a text today, said referral is done. ????
gjruiz66 8 Posted July 14, 2015 Viv...it's a major surgery, but if you follow your surgeons directions, you'll be just fine! It's an amazing journey. At my highest weight a few months before surgery, I was 332 lbs. It's been one year and I've lost 127 lbs so far. You can do this!
