chopsitter 30 Posted July 6, 2015 I have done really well with hunger issues thru the 2 week liquid diet, and post op so far. Today I am feeling like I want food, but it's not a horrible feeling. Woke up with a Migraine, and it's better. Pain from surgery is doing great. I just feel BLAH! I just want to be in bed and sleep it away. Is this normal. I don't really feel depressed, but blah. Losing weight amazingly, following instructions to the t.
sleevenv 483 Posted July 6, 2015 It was normal for me! I day 5 I posted I had reached a "I feel like crap" day. With no specific explanation day six was great and day 7 was bad again. The only motivation was the steady weight ticking off scale. I think these first few weeks are just going to be that way.
TexasGirl86 37 Posted July 6, 2015 It happened to me randomly a few times. But I'm much better the next day

lauraellen80 855 Posted July 6, 2015 Totally normal. For about the first week and a half (I'm three weeks out now), I felt "blah," too. Just no energy, couldn't concentrate on anything. By the time I went back to work at the end of the second week, I was feeling much better, though still tired.

PChayy05 75 Posted July 6, 2015 This is very very normal! Your body is recovering, and I don't know about others, but the residual pain meds from surgery had me sluggish for a solid week. I would wake up, and feel like I could nap for 3 more hours (and I did that a few times) but don't forget, although it's a chore, get yourself up and walking every hour for about 10 minutes. This will definitely help with energy. Other than that, you'll start gaining your energy when you have Protein Shakes and Soups. Totally normal to feel depressed and out of it, just don't let yourself cacoon in bed for weeks. Your body is recovering from the shock of surgery, so you have to put in the work to stay hyrdrated, get the Protein shakes down, and get enough rest. Hope you feel better soon!!
