Spaghetti 7 weeks out yes or no?

That's a LOT of carbs when you're still in active weight loss phase. Can you make yourself some with spaghetti squash instead? Or zucchini noodles?

I didn't eat any Pasta or rice for almost a full year. I was eating around 800 calories a day and pasta seems like a lot of empty calories. Plus pasta can trigger my head hunger. I've not tried the zucchini noodles, only because I never thought about it. But they might be a great substitute.

Make some meat sauce and meatballs and eat that. Tell "everyone" that they are free to cook their own noodles if they want spaghetti.

Good idea to just stick with the meatballs and sauce.

they also have edamame noodles and bean noodles and they are mostly Protein. I find I can only eat a small portion. It has a noodle feel to it.

Eat Shirataki Noodles...they make them in spaghetti, fettuccine, or Alfredo. They are awesome...it's a vegetable root from Japan. Look at your local grocery store...they cost about $3/bag.

I'm trying to figure out what to make for dinner. Everyone wants spaghetti but I'm so afraid to try it. Any suggestions???

You're kidding, right? What does the material provided by your doctor/nutritionist say about bread, Pasta, rice, and potatoes? If they didn't give you an eating plan, shame on them. And here's a site that can answer most, if not all, your questions: http://www.bariatric-surgery-source.com/ As for this specific question, when my family has spaghetti, I just eat the meat sauce or meatballs and sauce and I'm satisfied. I think you will be too. Remember... Protein first, green veggies next, if you're still not full, maybe a tiny bit of fruit, and last and definitely least (as in, pretty much never)... starches. (Spaghetti squash and zucchini spaghetti count as green veggies.) And please call your doctor's office to ask why they didn't tell you what you should and should not eat after bariatric surgery. Good luck!

I actually found a very low carb, high Protein Pasta at a farmers market near me. It was very expensive but with it to have a little with everyone else. It tasted decent too!

I found these noodles online.

http://www.questnutrition.com/quest-pasta/quest-pasta-spaghetti-12-pack/?type=single

They only have 3g of carbs all from Fiber. What ive done is mix it with meat sauce of even Ragu light that has very little sugar with some meatballs or even unflavored Protein poweder.

Actually my material calls for a very small amount of Pasta if you want when you go in solids. Remember every program us different. I probably won't because I prefer meat honestly. Having been there done that with the lap band and maintained for many years I can tell you that you can lose eating anything in moderation. A lot of people find small portions of pasta difficult though.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
