angry 158 Posted July 6, 2015 Hello again. I have been gone for some time and I am back to ask for some advice. I am trying to be healthier in general after some setbacks and difficulties. In an effort to jumpstart my weight loss and also to create a revolution of sorts in my own life I am doing the 22 day revolution which basically means becoming a vegan for a bit. While I have no intention on becoming a vegan long term, it is truly making me examine my relationship with food and perhaps even more importantly alcohol. Im wondering if there is anyone that has done this or that is a vegan with the sleeve? He requires that you eat 3 meals per day, no snacking. However I am unable to eat the meals that he suggests because they are too large and then I feel entitled to snack when I get hungry again. It is either that or stuff myself beyond capacity, I'm not sure either of these is the right way to handle the situation. I am thinking I should just continue to eat the meal that I was unable to finish instead of bingeing on pistachio nuts, but I digress. Any advice or info from anyone else that has done this would be greatly appreciated.
OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted July 7, 2015 Why not try Protein shakes for a while? You won't be able to get the Protein you need on the vegan diet, and the vegan Protein Shakes are not as filling as whey. You can reset with any new habit, it doesn't have to be vegan for 22 days. I liquid diet of 4 Protein Shakes a day would do it also.
maxcimax 220 Posted July 7, 2015 I've been stalled for about 2 months. Sucks too. I just went back on the liquid, soft foods & solids the way I did when I had the surgery. My surgeon agreed with me to take 1 day a week & have only Protein Shakes after I get thru with what I'm doing now. I let carbs get the best of me & I'm trying to break the habit. You eat to many carbs & your body wants more. This is not any easy diet & it will be a lifetime change in eating habits. It's worth it tho'. I feel so much better.
