TLW 163 Posted July 5, 2015 I am now 5 weeks post op and for the last week and a half I have been hitting the gym once a day for an hour, using various machines to work my entire body. I feel great, but have stopped losing weight. For the last 12 days the scale has not moved. Do I need to do something different?
James Marusek 5,244 Posted July 6, 2015 Keep doing what you are doing. It is common for the scales to stop every now and then. Try and not get fixated on it. You may see your progress in other ways such as dropping a clothing size. It is possible to slow your weight loss by extreme exercise. When I was young, I began jogging. Over a few weeks I was able to build myself up to 10 miles per day. Instead of losing weight, I gained weight because I was replacing fat with muscle and muscle is denser than fat. But that is a good thing.
aelovelady 243 Posted July 6, 2015 I would focus on cardio at this point.
