Premier Protein has already made shakes with 30gms of Protein and they taste good! sugar free Popsicles are still something I really enjoy!

Immediately postop I could not tolerate plain Water, lactose or artificial sweeteners. I drank Decaf herbal teas, diluted fruit juice, diluted Vitamin Water, diluted pedialyte, Protein smoothies and lactaid. I added unflavored Protein powder to every kind of broth and cream Soup I could find. I pureed and strained the thicker/chunkier Soups.< /p>

Everything tasted too sweet to me for about 6 months so I never did the Popsicle/jello thing. that's why I diluted all the sweeter drinks listed above and LOVED the savory soups and broths.

If you have The Vitamin Shoppe in your area they sell Syntrax nectar powder that you can buy by the individual package. This way you don't spend a fortune on a large container only to find you hate the stuff. My favorite is vanilla Bean Torte. Also, I used Unjury's chicken Soup mix. I still drink it sometimes. It would also settle my stomach if I got nauseated. The only thing you must remember with this powder is do not put it in really hot Water. It will clump. The container will tell you the maximum degree of heat.

I was fortunate that I never had issues with Premier Protein RTD shakes. I still keep them in my refrigerator so that if I'm in a hurry I just grab one & drink it.

I hate plain Water so I drink Crystal Light. I keep a large container in my refrigerator & try to keep my glass full. I also drink Decaf tea.

Getting in your Protein & fluids & watching your calories will go a long way in helping with your weight loss.

Syntrax Nectar, powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury & Premier Protein all have web sites you can order from. This is what I do. I also like the website Bariatric Choice where I get my Jello & hot chocolate mixes. They have a lot of stuff. There are other websites where you can buy food.

Good luck with your surgery.

They make Powerade zero drops... They are yummy!! And Decaf iced tea has been my BEST friend... Especially considering the first few days I refused anything but Water bc I was SO nauseated. Just 6 days out I stocked up on plain Greek yogurt, Soups to strain, PB2, decaf tea, hint water(amazing) propel water, sf Jello, and lots of flavor packets for my water. It's so important to drink your fluids!!!! Good luck!!! Oh, and I stocked up on stevia too!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
