I'm in the process of hoop jumping for my insurance. As long as I perform all of my tricks successfully, I should be approved for surgery by the end of the year. My question is this. If I have surgery in December/January, what will my life be like in March. My fiancé and I are planning on getting married in March in Vegas. I understand that I won't be able to drink alcohol and food things will be different, such as smaller meals and avoiding high fat/sugar stuff, but what will it be more like post-op three months?

Thanks in advance,

Chante'

You should be feeling pretty normal (but a lot lighter!) by 3 months. I could eat just about anything then without problems, just a lot smaller quantities. Depending on your doctor's diet plan, you should be on a regular diet by then. Take your Vitamins as recommended, get in your fluids & Protein & you should have plenty of energy. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

I am 3 1/2 months out, and I feel absolutely wonderful!! I would think you would be fine, since you will be on a normal diet by then. I would recommend that you take Protein Bars, and avoid the buffets at all costs. It will save you all money. Have your new husband order a meal, and you can eat a small portion of it! Soups are also a good go to for me when dining out. Good luck, and congrats!

I'm just about 3 months out. I feel great, look great, but my eating has changed. I avoid buffets because there is no sense in it. We eat out occasionally. I am able to digest salad so that's a huge help. I like Soups, fish, shrimp, veggies. I pretty much eat what I want, just smaller portions,

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
