I notice I tend to get irritable when I need to eat.

Yes, I get mad all the time and have a very hard time measuring what I am taking in cuz my kids and hubby will get into the small portions I have and then not sure if I need more or less

That would definitely drive me even crazier than I am!

I am eleven months post op and it literally Pisses me off when my husband eats the healthy Snacks and then chooses to go ahead and eat unhealthy ones after "mine" are all gone. Dang it! He eats the nuts and then eats Cheetos. And he doesn't just eat a handful of nuts he will eat the whole dang container. Or I measure out something and he takes something off my plate. Keep your fingers to yourself I will tell him and he says, you can't eat that much anyway. That's not the point I had it measured. Lol so as I sit and type this I realize I still have those little angry moments even after being out 11 months. Sounds ridiculous as I type it but it's true.

I'd be sorely tempted to stop buying the unhealthy Snacks if I were you. If he's so into the healthy stuff then awesome! why waste shelf space on the unhealthy stuff. Use that space for enough healthy stuff for both of you.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
