Hey all,

so I'm 25 days after my operation and have by now lost a whopping 16-17 kilos! So no complaints there.

I am now in the mixed foods stage and everybody's been telling me to eat cottage cheese.< /p>

Slight issue: I live in France where it's virtually all but impossible to get that stuff, which I LOVE.

So I lucked out at the organic store today and found some, but it's 4% fat. I wanted to know if 4%

is still appropriate to my current and/or long-term diet. I just love this stuff, plus it's a great Protein source,

but if 4%'s too fatty... What's your take? Thanks people!

I don't think it's a problem unless you are eating tons of it. A small serving is still going to be reasonable in calories as well as high in Protein. Plus, you need fat in your diet in order to properly absorb fat-soluble Vitamins. So in my opinion, don't go overboard with it, but enjoy :)

Agree with @Bufflehead. A serving for you will be small anyway. You should be fine. Glad you found some!!

All diet guidelines are different. I can't have dairy products until the six month mark. For me that means no yogurt, milk, cottage cheese, and most cheeses except low fat cheese sticks and then only one a day. I really miss yogurt with a little organic honey and cottage cheese. I am three months out from surgery.

I actually prefer the taste of the 4% so that is what I buy. My portions are so small the difference in the 0-2% which are also sold here is negligible.

Enjoy!

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
