checkmeowt 27 Posted July 3, 2015 Please, tell me it gets better. I'm so low energy, hungry, cranky, and have a headache. I'm really hoping today is the worst day - I thought I read that by day 4 it gets better. I'm at work and for some reason there are 3 cakes and homemade ice cream here today. I'll just be hiding in my cube.
freelee 128 Posted July 3, 2015 Stay in your cube, Forget the cakes, it WILL get better, I promise. It got to where I didn't even mind people eating around me. I don't know how long your Liquid Protein diet is, mine was 14 days. You'll be glad you did! Best wishes on all the upcoming changes.
LISALOVESVEGAS 21 Posted July 3, 2015 I am also on Day 3 of Pre-Op Diet. Just think how bad and guilty you would feel if you gave in and ate the cake and ice cream. It's not worth it. Hang in there - we can do this!
Mountaingal 322 Posted July 3, 2015 On day one here, tired and headachy not to mention hungry! We'll all make it though. This is for us and being healthier for the rest of our lives.o
Daisee68 2,493 Posted July 3, 2015 This should be your last really bad day (hopefully). Promise it gets better! Hang in there!
Arianna0228 25 Posted July 3, 2015 I had my surgery on the 29th, believe me it gets better. Just think of your goal. Going through this last process will make your surgery faster and safer. Resulting in less pain and a faster recovery time. Yay for shrinking livers, haha.
ladyvalle 4 Posted July 6, 2015 Surgery July 27. I am 62 years and getting nervous. Praying that liquid week will go well and that the day of surgery I will not chicken out.
freelee 128 Posted July 6, 2015 Hi Ladyvalle, I too, am 62 and had my RNY surgery June 16th. I'm feeling pretty good almost 3 weeks out now, just a little sore and having a hard time getting all the Water and Protein in each day. I see the nutritionist tomorrow per my plan. I did 2 weeks Liquid Protein pre-surgery and it really wasn't that bad after the first 3-4 days. Just take it a couple of hours at a time. I was amazed at how filling they were. But now, since I have to drink it so slowly, I'm not enjoying it anymore. My refried Beans and yogurt are my best friends now. Of course you're nervous, we all are........but I am already so happy that I did it, the age wasn't a problem. You'll do great.
checkmeowt 27 Posted July 6, 2015 Day 3 was the worst. I've lost almost all my hunger pains and have lost over 10 lbs.
