Sorry...I can't write a new post with the Kindle...bug in forum.

I hadn't thought much of it but some profiles indicate their personality codes. I have been tested for real but also did a couple of free online quizzes to confirm I am ENFP -the Inspirer. I am really strong on the E (extrovert) not as extreme on the other letters. :)

I started reading about it and it was insightful to see how I might be coming across to others in a dating context. I was most surprised to find that my personality type blends well with someone who is a little less extroverted for example. I have been on a few dates with a guy who is a very confident professional musician, he is an INFP...so while introverted he is not socially awkward in groups. That actually feels comfortable.

Anyway...I have recently been coming to grips with some of my weaknesses like..I'd rather start new ideas and projects over finishing old ones.... I am really working on becoming more organized and disciplined. I am also working on accepting the fact that I love change and unconsciously stir the pot but that can be very disruptive to less...flexible people.

I do. I took the test just now. I got this:

Your Type Preferences

Introvert(67%) Sensing(1%) Thinking(38%) Judging(56%)

Because you appear to have marginal or no (1%) preference of Sensing over Intuition, characteristics of more than one personality type may apply to you:
ISTJ and INTJ.

I do! I've had to take the test a few times for work and school things. I am INTJ...all day long, lol.

I am an INFP and took the test again today just to see if it has changed any; nope. Have fun with musician dude. Bass player by any chance? My husband is an extrovert (piano). What I notice most is that, while we both enjoy being social, I require downtime afterward to recover and he does not. We've been together 25 years+ and he still doesn't really get it that I need some quiet time and silence. Not in his vocab, lol!

I took it for real a long time ago for work, but couldn't quite remember what type I was. Took this online test, and yup, pretty spot on.

I am a both or sometimes, maybe, depends on the situation, so a Yes/No answer doesn't really work for me.

Interesting though.

I think the real power in this knowledge is understanding how your traits might be perceived by others. One small example is reading someone say that "how do you tell if an ENFP is interested since they flirt with EVERYONE? I thought..I certainly do not flirt with everyone but i can and Do talk to anyone, anywhere about anything....ah, that might be perceived as flirting by some. So my take away? Next time I am really interested in someone..be very deliberate about how I am interacting in that social setting. Never really occurred to me but looking back I can see that I have missed out on drawing a cool person in and making him know I am interested.

Yup. Depending on the day I take the test, I'm an ENFP or an ENTP.

And yes, @@CowgirlJane ... we DO flirt with everyone. But they often think we're just arguing with them. ;)

And just for fun, I married a complete opposite, an ISTJ. Boy, is he a classic ISTJ. I tell him, "We are so lucky to be together -- we have infinite opportunities for personal growth!"

BTW, ENFPs are often referred to as those who "Envision New Fantastic Possibilities."

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
