It happens and is your body making adjustments. Stick to the plan and it will move soon enough..

I am 3 1/2 weeks out and I have chosen not to weigh myself until possibly next week. I don't want to know if I have the "stall" so I'm not going there yet because I don't want to feel discouraged!

Good luck

At week 4 I hit a stall that lasted 3 weeks! It really was frustrating at first, until I read all the posts about this being perfectly normal. This past week it finally broke at I lost 6 lbs since I last weighed myself (every Friday morning I get on the scale).

The bottom line is that this is a life long journey. Worry about establishing lifetime habits. My biggest challenge is slowing down while I am eating...I still want to wolf food down.

I tried to keep the average weight loss in my mind during the stall. Even when I was at 4 lbs per week average (it was 8 lbs per week before the stall) that is still awesome and my ultimate weight goal was still going to happen this year!

Yes, you guys are probably in a stall. It happens. Expect it to happen again. And possibly even again. Don't get discouraged! I am the queen of stalls, and I'm 9 pounds from goal. Just becuase you stall, doesn't mean you're finished losing weight. Stay with your program, and the scale will move again. Just takes a little patience ;)

Stalls happen! Then they break. Then they happen again and break again. Keep doing what your plans says to do and be patient! Your patience will be rewarded... Until you hit the next stall. ????

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
