rgodfrey09 98 Posted July 2, 2015 Any using MyFitnessPal? I just started a couple of days ago, and definitely do not think I'm getting in enough calories. I struggle to get over 400-500 along with all my Water. I'm eating very Protein dense, clearing about 60G a day on average. Any other guys using this app so I can see what you're eating would be a big help! laceygorrell 79 Posted July 3, 2015 Just had my surgery 2 days ago. I plan on tracking my calories when I start on soft food in 2 weeks!!! I hear alot of people target to get 800 calories a day.

CharmedRyan 18 Posted July 3, 2015 How long ago did you have your surgery? It took me a week or two after starting regular food to get my Protein and calorie intake up.
rgodfrey09 98 Posted July 3, 2015 @@CharmedRyan I had my surgery 3 weeks and 2 days ago. I feel like I drink all day until I sleep and eat as quick as I can. I think I need to start setting timers and reminders and try to follow a schedule.
CharmedRyan 18 Posted July 3, 2015 Are you back to work yet? Have you started soft foods (no chunks)?
rgodfrey09 98 Posted July 3, 2015 I have an EXTREMELY generous job that gave me 6 weeks paid medical leave so I go back July 22! I'm currently on soft Proteins like deli meat and cheeses. My surgeon does liquids for 3 full weeks postop instead of having a puréed stage because he said he finds the idea of pureeing a good meal disgusting lol! AvalonNeeCee 127 Posted July 5, 2015 I'm envying you. ..6weeks, wow. I had to beg and be judged...ie lie...to get a week and 3 days.
rgodfrey09 98 Posted July 5, 2015 I'm sorry they judged you;( that's terrible! I had to use 1 week of my own PTO and then short term disability kicked in for the remaining weeks 2-6. I think my boss was so nice about it because I gave her 10 months warning when I had my first surgeons consult and we talked about my progress each month after until I got dates. I hope all is good now that you're back to work!
Anquinette Reese 7 Posted July 5, 2015 Wow AvalonNeeCee I can't stand judgemental people. I got 4 weeks off with pay. But I'd only like 2. I just got sleeved July 1st. This whole liquid thing has got me confused. I assume that they'd like you to dedicate yourself to an eating schedule that is not working for me. I'm a mother of five w/ a husband that's use to me running the house. Thank God my mom is here she definately relieves some of the pressures.
Anquinette Reese 7 Posted July 5, 2015 I left the hospital weighing more than I came in weighing due to Fluid RETENTION.
AvalonNeeCee 127 Posted July 5, 2015 She discouraged me from using short term disability, said it doesn't work the way I think etc. Hum...not right I see. Well Hopefully I will feel good and be able to go back to work after the time I asked for. But if not I am not going to feel bad to take short term disability. It is sad there are negative people to be dealt with but I know I am doing what I want and what is best for me.
tubabuddha 7 Posted August 10, 2015 I have it but I don't use it like I should. I keep trying to enter it in the Fitbit app but food is better on fitness pal
AvalonNeeCee 127 Posted August 10, 2015 I ended up just doing the week and a half no disability. Now she is trying to act like a mama hen and say no food at your desk I'm watching you. ..this does not help at all. ..and so I still feel like I Have to sneak food. She just thinks they fixed damage from band. I choose not to share the sleeve info with her for these reasons and because she is anti bariatric surgery and not her business
