I had my sleeve done on Nov. 19, 2013. I went from 210lbs to about 125lbs. Would bounce a pound or 2 here and there. But over the last 2 or 3 months I have gone up to 137lbs and it is really starting to scare me. What if I have strected my stomache?? How do you get back on track?? Has this happened to anyone? I just need to try to figure out if others had this happen and what you did to change it or if you can change it.

Go back to weighing everything you eat and tracking your intake on myfitnesspal or a similar nutrition tracker. Set a strict daily goal for Protein, carbs, and calories. My suggestion for weight loss mode for someone at your weight would be 900 calories max, 40 grams of carbs max, and minimum of 75 grams of protein daily. For three days, eat nothing but lean protein that you cook yourself, small amounts of healthy fats, and green veggies. After that gradually add in tree nuts, fruits, dairy, and legumes, but keep tracking and keep to your daily goals. Until you get back to your goal weight, avoid all grains, sweets, and starchy veggies (potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, peas, carrots).

The first three days will be tough but once you get through them, it gets easier.

When you get back to your goal weight, weigh yourself every day and go back to a strict eating plan and tracking if you get 5 lbs above it.

Good luck!

snack 1: beef or turkey jerkey

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
