snowkitten 371 Posted July 1, 2015 A doctor prescribed me 2 bananas a day (for the potassium ). As I'm sure you can all imagine my sleeved brain is screaming NO!!! Too many calories, too many carbs, eek too much lol. So does anyone know of high potassium foods that would be sleeve friendly??

snowkitten 371 Posted July 1, 2015 Thanks for the site! I had no idea milk and yogurt had potassium in it. I would definetly be ok with adding yogurt as a snack since it has good Protein in it
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted July 1, 2015 I would check with your doctor. You must be severely deficient if he is prescribing two bananas. Other foods, even if they have potassium, might not have enough.
zonetracy 53 Posted July 1, 2015 I needed potassium too for awhile before my sleeve. One of my BP meds was making me urinate a lot and I wasn't keeping any potassium. I found this link with the top 10 highest potassium foods and bananas are number 10 in the list. http://www.healthaliciousness.com/articles/food-sources-of-potassium.php
