So I am 12 days Post op. The first week was awesome. I had my surgery on the 18th and by the 25th I was down 16 pounds from my surgery day weight.

I know that is a lot. And I am so greatful that I got that much so quickly.

BUT NOW...I have not lost a single pound since the 25th. Is this a stall? Or am I doing something wrong?

I am still on liquids until tomorrow...which I have been pretty strict with myself about. So I haven't changed what I am doing.

I have found it hard to get in more than 60g of Protein each day, but my NUT said I will work my way back up soon enough.

Please help.

You are doing fine. It is just a temporary stall. Your body is saying "WTF did you do to me!?" It happens to EVERYONE! (Okay, I don't need to hear from the 2 people that it didn't happen to! :P ) Just stick to your doctors instructions and it will be over before you know it. Really. I promise!

On another note, you will go insane in the next year if you weigh yourself every day. There will be days you lose, days you gain and days you stay the same. I try to only weigh once a week..It is hard sometimes, but my sanity is worth it!

No worries, you have got this!

Yeah my resolve was to only weight on Thursday...each anniversary of my surgery. So I weight on the 25th. I was so happy with my progress. Then the scale got the best of me this morning and I saw no change since last Thursday...and it was so upsetting.

But THANK you for your advice. I will keep on keepin on!!

Hang tough. Read and re-read that link that @@Babbs posted until this passes. As long as you keep making the right choices, it will.

I've no idea if I had a stall or not.

I was sleeved on Feb 25 and didnt weigh myself for three months...

In fact, that's the only time I've weighed myself...

I can feel and see how much I'm losing..

My goals are more long term than daily/weekly/or even monthly...

My second weight check will be a week shy of 5 months post op (July 17)..

I'm aiming for a 50kg (110 lb)loss...

Good luck to you...

Kinda

Well I am happy to report that I saw my surgeon today for my 2 week check up. THE scale finally moved again. Down another 2 pounds...I guess the stern talking to I gave to "Steve" my sleeve did the trick. :)

I am just happy it is moving again.

Step away from the scale. In the early days I only got weighed when I went to the doctor. It takes the pressure off so you can focus on eating and drinking well. I now only weigh once a month. I would recommend weighing no more than weekly. It will make you crazy and isn't always a good measure of progress. Take your measurements instead. Boobs, neck, waist and hips. On days when the scale doesn't move you will see a difference.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
