Has anyone, who suffered with occasional flair ups of diverticulitis, had one since you got your sleeve? I really thought I would never have one again, but here I am so painful! It's my own fault. Ordered retried Beans today at a Mexican restaurant. But, instead of being a good girl and eating them with a spoon, I dipped some chips in it! Now I lay here in so much pain! Just curious about anyone else.

I too have suffered flare-ups from diverticulitis pre-WLS and I have also had one episode post-WLS., although my last one post-WLS did not require antibiotics (it was a mild one). Both my PCP and my surgeon insist the flare ups are not caused by any particular foods.

I have. Mine was terrible. Ended up in ICU for a week with sepsis on New Year's Day this year. I was almost 2 months post op when it happened. Had another week long hospital stay beginning January 31st with it, gastritis, esophagitis, and I can't even remember what else. Surgeon wants me flare-up free and healthy for six months before he goes in to remove the bad part of my colon. I go for my next colonoscopy the first of August to see where I stand.

So sorry you have had to endure these episodes. Maybe your planned colon surgery will completely eliminate the flare-ups.

My dr always prescribes an antibiotic and something for pain. It always gives relief within 12-24 hrs. This time was no different. Thanks, all, for sharing.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
